Whether you are an absolute beginner or a more advanced speaker our courses are designed towards serving your specific needs and level.<\/h3>

Prior to commencing studies you will sit an entry test to enable us to evaluate your current level and place you in the right class. <\/p><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

All teachers are experienced native Italian speakers who strive to make your learning process both enjoyable and productive. Group classes start every other Monday and host a maximum of 10 students. Lessons are held in the morning or afternoon, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.<\/p>\n

All courses are in line with the Common European Framework of Languages<\/strong>\u00a0. All class activities are focused on developing all four fundamental language skills \u2013 listening<\/strong>, speaking<\/strong>, reading<\/strong> and writing<\/strong>. We encourage active participation both in and outside of the classroom. During study hours, you will engage in real life situations and interactive group activities to improve your understanding of the language and vocabulary. We employ different learning tools including printed, audio and visual media to enhance your learning process.<\/p>\n

Course materials<\/strong>, certificate of attendance<\/strong> and linguistic exchange programme service \u201cTandem<\/strong>\u201d are included in all courses free of charge.<\/p>\n

Standard course<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The standard course<\/strong> is focused on gaining general Italian language<\/strong> knowledge while having fun getting to know Sicily<\/strong>.\u00a0 Total of 20 study hours a week.<\/p>\n

Students attending the morning classes<\/strong> can choose to participate in various activities* <\/strong>in the afternoons or in the weekend including a tour<\/strong> of Acicastello<\/strong>, sightseeing in Catania<\/strong>, the volcano Etna<\/strong>, trips to Taormina<\/strong>, Siracusa<\/strong> or local natural reserves and parks, a visit to the fish market and so on.<\/p>\n

This is an intensive<\/strong> Italian language<\/strong> course which will enable you gain language skills quicker. In the mornings of Monday to Friday (excl. public holidays) you will attend a group class for 4 hours followed by 1 hour of 1-2-1 lesson, totalling 25 study hours a week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Individual Italian language lessons<\/strong> for all skills and levels. Following a level entry test, the teacher will define a learning path based on the specifics needs of the student. Both the intensity and duration of lessons will be agreed between the teacher and the student.<\/p>\n

Italian Online standard course<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The course is held entirely online<\/strong> with lessons held via Skype and taught by native Italian teachers. Time and duration of this course depend on the individual preferences and needs of the student. Learning materials are provided following enrolment. This course is ideal for individuals who want to learn Italian and benefit from the flexibility of studying in their own time and on their own pace.<\/p>\n

Italian Online plus course<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The perfect option to allow you to gain linguistic skills in advance of your holiday and then deepen them while you are here. This course consists of 2 parts and it is a combination of Italian language course held online (on the basis of the Italian Online standard course \u2013 part I) followed by a period of study in Scuola Galatea (following the pattern of the Italian Standard course- part II).<\/p>\n

Duration, lessons timetable and total hours of part I depend on the individual preferences and needs.<\/p>\n

Italian plus food and wine<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Wine<\/strong> and cookery are among the most attractive activities while in Sicily. The Sicilian cuisine<\/strong> is rich in flavours and soaked in history. The region has its own table and dessert wines and the wineries in the areas of Mount Etna<\/strong> are among the most sought after. This course gives you the opportunity to taste the magical creations of Sicily.\u00a0 Cooking classes and wine tasting visits are organised as part of the course every week.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Professional Italian courses<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Do you need to improve your vocabulary in a particular aspect of the language? This course deals with a subject of your choosing that requires covering specific topics linked to a particular profession Business<\/strong>, Finance<\/strong>, Headlthcare<\/strong> etc. Participants need to have at least an intermediate level of knowledge of Italian. Duration and intensity of the course depend on the individual needs of the learner. However, it is recommended a course with a minimum duration of 2 weeks consisting of both group and individual lessons.<\/p>\n

Lessons take place trough the natural, mythological and literary Acicastello\u2019s and Acitrezza\u2019s beauties. Thanks to an artistic and literally path in the city, students will take part in a fantastic \u2018\u2019trip\u2019\u2019 that will tell about story and literature of this part of Sicily.<\/p>\n
